Fruitful Fun at Kasih Hospice Charity Fair!
The 11th Kasih Hospice Charity Fair was a resounding success, with throngs of visitors of all ages and origins engaging in merriment and community spirit throughout the day. Held on Aug 25, KHCF 2019 brought together thousands of individuals, from owners of the 120 booths, visitors, volunteers and participants, as well as generous supporting organisations and patrons. The fair also benefited from pre-sales of coupons and delicious goodies, generating excitement and positive energy even before the day itself!
Established more than 20 years ago, Kasih Hospice Care Society (KHC) provides medical, emotional and spiritual support as well as loaning of medical equipment, free of charge. Through the years, its registered volunteers have offered more than 36,585 hours of service, providing companionship and emotional support to patients and carers in three major government hospitals in the Klang Valley and at homes. Its medical team, set up in 2005, consists of two full-time registered hospice doctors and eight trained hospice nurses who have to date cared for more than 4,471 patients in their homes.
